Distraction and your Reality

Distraction is usually used as a means to avoid facing reality.  With more means of distraction the easier that avoiding process gets.  This usually has negative effects on your quality of life

Future visions

My vision for the future of technology,

Advancements will be seen as enablers for people to form more natural interactions with technology (speech, gestures and emotions).  The current situation is a "complex relationship"
These advancements will also enable us (people) to be more social in the real sense - Face to face and communal contact will increase. as well as solitary deep learning, meditation and reflection.

Our relationship with technology is currently procedural, that is, as well as describing "what" we want we need to describe "how" to get it. Future Advancements will enables us to focus solely on the "what" - which is a declarative relationship. Describing the "what" is still a major challenge (sometimes requiring expensive consultants) but implementing the "how" will  become far easier.

Many, Many more stages in the evolution of automated and integrated systems evolving the usual suspects in technologies including :
  • Robotics
  • 3D Printing
  • AI
  • Recycling
  • Security
( I believe all of these areas are in their infancy - large amount of research and investment is still required )

And increased use of renewable energy
  • Solar
  • Wind
  • Ocean
  • Recycling
The technologies mentioned above may appear as obvious. But the real focus of this entry is examining "Why" these tools need to evolve. What is the point in continuing their investment and development? The answer is time and survival. (Massive Caveat - the benefits gained (listed and explained belo) from technology advancements are assumed to be "shared" - repeat, the is a massive assumption)
  • Further education - Massive investment is required in this area. Paid for by exponential Productivity gains. This will result in more Productivity gains
  • Experimentation - Many truths are still unknown - and current truths need to be reassessed. Again massive amounts of investment required here
  • Relaxation - The best ideas will surface in this state.
    • Meditation
    • Reflection
Ultimately the earth and the solar system we live in has a limited lifespan. Time is limited. The overriding goal of humans is to survive. Thus radically new, evolved and mature ways of thinking and development are required to leave this solar system. The current economic system will evolve from the current state of Artificial scarcity

Sometimes

  • I do not know
    • Knowledge is never 100% - things will eventually change
    • "Know" what you "do not know"
  • Sometimes
    • Because situations and circumstances will sometimes differ
Sometimes you do not know - so expect uncertainly and be prepared

Capacity to Learn from and to Accept Reality

What is your Capacity to Learn from and to Accept Reality (CLAR)? Try rating it from one to ten (one (lowest) to ten (highest)). I believe this is the most important parameter in how effective you are in making decisions. It could also be a gauge on how trustworthy you are. I shall call this your CLAR score. More on this later.

Important Note

"Acceptance" is like saying, "Yes, I agree that this is how it is".
This then enables you say, "Now I know how it is - I can now create a realistic plan on how I want things to be"

"Faced with two competing hypotheses, we are likely to choose the most complex one. That’s usually the option with the most assumptions and regressions. As a result, when we need to solve a problem, we may ignore simple solutions — thinking “that will never work” — and instead favor complex ones."

Survival guide in the populist age - part 1

1. Do not waste time - be direct.
2. Know what you are good at. Or Ask yourself "what job would I do for nothing?" Study and practice that field everyday. At least 1 hour
3. Always let someone know where you are or where you are going. A better alternative is to travel with someone you trust
4. Be very critical and objective of what you read on the Web and social media
5. Read more books and try using some what you have read
6. Seek evidence.
7. Try to speak to strangers
8. Join a Team and know your role in that team
9. Understand yourself and your strategy.
10. Understand that 80% of the worlds population is Anti-black. 90% is Anti-black African. Self-hatred is also prevalent. Stay vigilant.
